FAQ
how does a consumer use parsecc?
Parsecc uses IoT technology to connect a user’s solar system to a network of other users within their grid. It then enables the user to monitor their system, trade excess energy and exercise voting rights between other users, local government and infrastructure providers.
how does a government use parsecc?
Parsecc connects Distributed Energy Resources together within a network. Our Energy Management System uses dynamic AI to monitor supply and demand issues. It also creates smart contracts for all vested parties like government, energy generators and end users.
Can I only use solar energy for my vpp node?
We are capable of utilizing multiple forms of commercially available renewable energy source i.e. Solar, Wind, Geothermal and Hydroelectric. Which means our system can connect most Distributed Energy Resources.
is this similar to community solar?
A vpp is a decentralized network that uses dynamic AI to respond to supply and demand, it’s constantly learning and improving, whereas community solar is a static way of sharing energy from a solar farm.
can communities share building and maintenance costs?
Typically your local government foots the bill at no upfront cost to the end user. However any property owner can get solar, geothermal or wind installed on their own land.
do I need to own a house to participate?
Not necessarily, we can also create nodes if you have open land to place our equipment on. A Virtual Power Plant consists of all forms of energy generation, as long as you are a landowner, we can help.

At our core, Lumena Energy is an Energy-As-A-Service company that architects demand response with Virtual Power Plants. We pride ourselves on being pioneers in the renewable energy sector.
With a proven track record of success, Lumena Energy is here to help.
Lumena Energy’s demand response virtual power plant (VMP) program is a system that allows customers to engage in P2P energy trades during periods of high demand, in exchange for rewards. The program is designed to help stabilize the power grid and reduce the need for expensive peaker power plants.
Although the concept of a Virtual Power Plant has been around for decades, the modern scaled application is less than 6 years old, we have been paving the way since the very beginning.Â
We offer a wide variety of solar panel types and installations ranging from Commercial Ground Mounts to Residential Solar to Solar Farms capable of powering entire towns.Â
