We currently offer four renewable energy training programs available for people of all ages and walks of life.

Become A Solar Panel Installer
Candidates that join our Solar Panel Installer cohort are placed in an immersive, comprehensive program that pairs small groups with our Mentors to learn from a head Engineer.
A typical program lasts 2.5 months depending on the adaptability of the candidate. Throughout the course of the cohort, each class will work in our facility and visit live renewable energy sites to speak with industry professionals.
Each candidate will also have access to our proprietary Learning Management, Lumena Energy Academy Online where they will be able to monitor their progress and conduct independent learning.
As part of our compulsory program, candidates will also take part in OSHA 10 certification, and a NABCEP-approved course curriculum. This will prepare each candidate for a NABCEP PV Associate certification. Upon successful completion, each candidate will earn a Lumena Energy Academy certificate of successful completion and become part of our network of alums.
Photovoltaics 101
So you’re thinking of taking the leap into Renewable Energy, but you’re not quite sure which role is for you? PV101 is the perfect next step!
Our PV101 course provides a comprehensive deep dive into our fascinating world. As with the Solar Installer cohort, candidates are placed into smaller groups to receive one-on-one attention as they learn from a head Engineer.
A typical program lasts 3 weeks in which each candidate will learn the mathematical science behind Photovoltaics, they will visit live build sites, earn their OSHA 10 and HAZWOPER certifications and learn basic circuitry skills ending with a final exam. Upon successful completion, each newly minted Solar Tech will earn a Lumena Energy Academy certificate of completion, OSHA 10 and HAZWOPER.
Each alum will also join our network for job consideration.
Renewable Energy Workshops
Whether you’re looking to motivate a group of youth at your school, or an older crowd looking to change careers, our Renewable Energy Workshop course is for you.
This is a perfect weekend course to brush up on the basics across the Renewable Energy sector.
Participants will roll up their sleeves with DIY projects, engaging videos and learn about the past, present and future of Renewable Energy with some surprises thrown in.
Virtual Power Plant Technician
Smart cities are on their way, and the world will need a new strong workforce to manage and maintain their increasing energy demands.
Lumena Energy is proud to offer the world’s first Virtual Power Plant Technician training program. This rigorous, hybridized program consists of Electrical Engineering, IoT and Cloud Architecture.
